Job summary

Garratt-Callahan seeks a Chemical Service Technician for Data Centers in Reno, NV to oversee chemical cleaning, passivation, and flushing of primary cooling loops during construction. You will lead on-site tasks, coordinate with mechanical contractors, and ensure water chemistry meets stringent specifications with timely documentation.

Two to five years in industrial water treatment and HVAC commissioning are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial water treatment and field water analysis.
• Ability to coordinate logistics and schedules with contractors and vendors.
• Direct experience with closed-loop HVAC systems or chemical cleaning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead chemical cleaning, passivation, and flushing of cooling loops.
• Perform on-site water analysis (pH, conductivity, iron, inhibitors) to verify readiness.
• Coordinate with mechanical contractors to resolve issues and manage dosing/filtration.
• Maintain Daily Field Reports and client documentation for Owners Rep or contractors.
• Forecast chemical volumes and place timely orders to prevent site delays.
