Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Technology Strategy Applications Engineer to solve data center cooling challenges and boost brand awareness in the Data Center Vertical. You will work with the Global Data Center Technical Selling team to develop solutions for facility water production.

Lead the design of cooling architectures, engage with engineers and stakeholders, and travel globally as needed to drive growth and advancements in data center cooling technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years designing mechanical cooling systems.
• 5+ years in data center cooling design.
• Strong knowledge of mission critical cooling systems and market trends.
• Proven ability to write product specifications for end users and installers.
• Willingness to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Identify challenges and tailor cooling solutions for data center designers.
• Define scalable, repeatable thermal management solutions across sites/geographies.
• Demonstrate expertise in heat transfer, vapor compression and absorption systems.
• Develop reference designs for facility water for various cooling modes.
• Author white papers and application guides with partners.
• Collaborate with R&D, Training, Product Management and Support teams.
• Engage with industry to drive relationships and growth.
