Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Technology Strategy Applications Engineer to address data center cooling challenges and expand brand awareness in the Data Center Vertical.

You will report to the Director of Business Development and Technology Strategy for Thermal Management and collaborate with the Global Data Center Technical Selling team to create solutions for facility water management. The role requires deep expertise in heat transfer and cooling systems, plus the ability to develop

Qualifications

• At least 10 years designing mechanical cooling systems such as chillers, chilling water pumping, or storage systems.
• At least 5 years designing cooling systems for data centers serving IT equipment.
• Strong knowledge of mission critical cooling systems, applications, and market trends.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; able to influence decision-makers.
• Experience in strategic planning, marketing, and market research.

Responsibilities

• Develop globally applicable reference designs for facility water in various data center cooling methods.
• Engage industry partners to author white papers and application guides.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders through conferences, expositions, and engagements.
• Provide technical support on facility water products internally and externally.
• Coordinate with R&D, Training, Product Management, and Technical Support to meet market needs.
