Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Technology Strategy Applications Engineer to drive thermal management solutions for data centers. You will design and optimize facility water systems across air-cooled, liquid-cooled, and hybrid cooling methods, collaborating with the Global Data Center Technical Selling team to support design and deployment of cooling architectures.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing mechanical cooling systems (chillers, chilled water pumping, storage)
• 5+ years in data center cooling system design for IT equipment
• Strong knowledge of mission critical cooling systems, applications, and market trends
• Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to influence decision-makers

Responsibilities

• Identify challenges and goals of data center designers and develop tailored solutions
• Define scalable, repeatable thermal management solutions for multiple sites and geographies
• Develop globally applicable reference designs for facility water cooling in data centers
• Create white papers, case studies, and guides with industry partners
• Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Training, Product Management, Tech Support) to align with product strategies
