Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. is seeking a Data Center Associate for the C-Shift (M-Thu 8PM-6:30AM) at the Fort Wayne datacenter. The role focuses on material orders, inventory control, and customer service while building and maintaining server racks and cables.

The position requires working with hand and power tools, measuring devices, and safety protocols for live electrical equipment. 1-3 years of related experience preferred; background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience is required.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols is required.
• Experience with computers is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
• Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, checking for accurate part numbers, quantities and condition.
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts on site at the datacenter.
• Process return shipments of electronic components using warehouse management systems.
• Place server racks on the datacenter floor using laser measuring devices with 100% accuracy.
• Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks per diagrams and schematics.
• Install rack hardware using hand, power and measuring tools.
• Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers and electric pallet jacks.
• Perform cleanup activities to maintain safety, cleanliness and 5S standards.
• Push, pull and lift frequently during the shift.
