Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in New Albany, OH is seeking a Data Center Associate to support material orders, customer service and server component installation. The role involves assembling and installing servers and components using hand and power tools, with emphasis on accuracy and safety, across all shifts.

The position requires 1-3 years of related experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to pass background checks.

Qualifications

1-3 years of related experience is required.
Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards is required.
Ability to pass background checks and drug/alcohol tests.

Responsibilities

Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, ensuring accurate part numbers and pristine condition.
Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts on site at the datacenter.
Process return shipments of various electronic components using multiple warehouse management systems.
Place server racks on the datacenter floor using laser measuring devices with high accuracy.
Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks following diagrams and schematics.
Install rack hardware using hand, power and measuring tools.
Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers and electric pallet jacks.
Maintain safety, cleanliness and adherence to 5S standards in the work area.
