Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician for a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next). You will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation, ensuring safe environmental conditions, and responding to BMS alarms while coordinating with vendors.

The role requires a technical apprenticeship or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience, solid communication and MS Office skills, and the ability to work weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Training in a technical discipline with an apprenticeship or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
• Respond to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with processes and regulations.
• Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet requirements.
