Job summary

Brooksource in Aldie, VA is seeking Data Center Technicians to support critical infrastructure by performing rack/stack/patch work, structured cabling installs, server deployments, and ongoing white space maintenance. Ideal candidates have hands-on data center experience and a solid grasp of industry standards, delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with Brooksource Project Managers and Microsoft DCPMs, follow safety protocols, participate in toolbox

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; CompTIA Network+ or similar certifications preferred.
Hands-on data center experience and familiarity with rack/stack/patch work, structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI).
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders in restricted spaces; strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

Rack/Stack/Patch servers, network devices, and storage into racks per elevation diagrams.
Install, route, dress, and terminate copper and fiber cabling between racks and IDFs; label cables and verify connectivity with test equipment.
Maintain white space organization and adhere to safety protocols (PPE, confined spaces).
Collaborate with Brooksource Project Managers and Microsoft DCPMs to ensure timely task completion and provide progress updates.
