Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Elkridge, MD is hiring a Data Center Technician to support critical infrastructure in a full-time, on-site role.

You will install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment, manage cabling, monitor power and cooling, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams. The role requires 3+ years in data center operations and relevant certifications; lifting up to 50 lbs; standard business hours with on-call.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Experience with server and network equipment installation/configuration.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
