Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Data Center Technician Lead to oversee operations in our data center environments. You will diagnose hardware and network issues using CLI tools and lead a team of technicians to meet SLA-driven goals.

The role requires 5+ years in IT support, strong leadership, and ability to travel between data centers. The company offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive pay range of $80,000–$90,000 USD.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience in data center operations.
• 5+ years of IT support, hardware diagnostics, and repair in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency with CLI-based tools (e.g., Cisco CLI, Linux shell, iDRAC, iLO).
• Experience diagnosing and repairing server, storage, and network hardware.
• Familiarity with network tools (ping, traceroute, netstat, SNMP, syslog).
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to work under pressure in high-availability environments.
• Strong communication and leadership with a customer-focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between data center sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead DC operations across server, storage, and network hardware platforms to resolve hardware failures.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using CLI tools to identify and fix system and network issues.
• Oversee physical hardware repair including drive, memory, NICs, PSUs, fans, and motherboards.
• Troubleshoot Layer 1–3 network issues (port failures, link flaps, misconfigurations).
• Coordinate with OEM vendors for RMA, parts, and warranty claims.
• Maintain and update incident resolution and root-cause documentation.
• Manage ticket queues and ensure SLA adherence through prioritization and escalation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with MOPs/CMOPs and contribute to improvements.
