Job summary

Meta is hiring an IC2 Data Center Technician in the FORCE team. This entry-level role focuses on learning foundational technical skills, following standard operating procedures, and supporting the reliability of Meta’s global server fleet.

You will perform routine checks, assist with hardware replacements and cabling, and participate in inventory management with emphasis on safety and teamwork. The position emphasizes hands-on learning, adherence to MOPs, and growth within data center

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic hands-on experience with computer or network hardware/cabling.
• Willingness to learn about Linux, basic networking concepts, and repair procedures.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds (22 kg).
• Effective verbal and written communication; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks of server and network hardware.
• Follow documented procedures to support hardware replacements and reseats/swaps.
• Assist with cabling tasks (fiber/copper) and related cleanup.
• Help with ticket resolution and data on logs/checklists.
• Maintain inventory records and update systems.
• Support uptime and reliability of server fleet.
