Job summary

Google is seeking an Data Center Technician III to support networking operations in Council Bluffs, IA. The role involves deploying and maintaining data center infrastructure, troubleshooting complex equipment, and ensuring data security per Google standards.

The position requires lifting heavy equipment and working non-standard hours including nights and weekends. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in server maintenance, Linux experience, and ability to lead small projects within a data center

Qualifications

Experience with component-level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment.
Diagnosis of hardware, OS, and server hardware issues.
Experience with networking protocols.
Ability to lift 50 lb and perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights and holidays.

Responsibilities

Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across teams.
Troubleshoot and diagnose relatively complex equipment or infrastructure issues using available resources.
Maintain data security and integrity in line with Google security standards.
Disassemble equipment reaching end-of-life via maintenance or part replacement.
Repair and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and infrastructure with multiple solutions.
