Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician for Third Party Data Centers in Las Vegas to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and server software. You will work with networks, routers, switches and networking protocols, performing manual rack installation and occasional heavy lifting in a cutting-edge data center environment.

The role requires collaboration with teams, flexibility for non-standard hours, and a passion for scalable, reliable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting OS, server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Experience performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and shift work.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate new data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
• Report issues and follow procedures to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment or infrastructure.
• Maintain data security and integrity; ensure proper data erasure as per policy.
• Disassemble equipment reaching end-of-life and perform component replacements in a team.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and servers.
