Job summary

Delta System & Software, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support large-scale data center deployment and operations.

You will perform rack and stack installations, structured cabling, and asset management while ensuring safety and adherence to procedures. Key responsibilities include installing servers and storage, connecting power and network cabling, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on data center experience performing rack and stack activities.
• Strong understanding of server and network rack layouts and structured cabling (fiber and copper).
• Experience installing enterprise server platforms (Dell, Supermicro or equivalent).
• Ability to read rack elevation diagrams and deployment documentation.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working in rack environments.
• Knowledge of ESD procedures and safe handling of sensitive equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform rack, stack, and cabling installations for servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems.
• Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and maintain airflow and cable management standards.
• Connect and validate power, fiber, and copper network cabling.
• Support hardware moves, adds, and changes (MACs) in the data center.
• Follow deployment runbooks and engineering documentation.
• Perform basic hardware validation, LED/port checks, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory, labeling, and deployment documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering and network teams during deployments and migrations.
• Adhere to ESD, safety, and security requirements.
• Assist with decommissioning and removal of end-of-life hardware.
