Job summary

StarTech Networks Inc. is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to join our migration and deployment projects.

You'll install and configure server racks, PDUs, DC power systems, and cabling across multiple data center locations including Council Bluffs, IA, as well as other sites. You will interpret blueprints and network designs, perform rack-and-stack, handle fiber and OEM equipment, and ensure compliance with Telcordia standards while maintaining thorough documentation and smooth

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in data center installation, deployment or maintenance.
• Experience supporting infrastructure or network deployment projects.
• Ability to read and interpret network design documents and blueprints.
• Hands-on with server racks, PDUs, DC power systems, fuse panels.
• Familiar with rack-and-stack operations for servers and switches.
• Experience loading ISO configurations on Windows and Linux.
• Strong troubleshooting during live network changes.

Responsibilities

• Install server racks per floor plans with grounding and safety.
• Deploy PDUs for AC cage infrastructure.
• Install DC power supplies and fuse panels.
• Perform rack-and-stack for servers and network equipment.
• Install OEM switches and chassis (1RU–45RU) including line cards.
• Configure data center networks per 3-Tier and Spine-Leaf architectures.
• Test and troubleshoot hardware and network components on site.
• Perform fiber testing and ensure patching accuracy.
