IREN, a leading AI Cloud Service Provider, seeks a Data Center Technician II in Childress, TX to ensure reliable operation of data center infrastructure. The role involves advanced hardware support, incident resolution, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams to meet uptime and performance goals.

The position features a 15% premium for night shifts, 100% on-site work, and a requirement to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Formación

• Intermediate understanding of data center infrastructure and networks.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and component replacement skills.
• Experience with rack, cable trays, and fiber/copper interconnections.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and asset tracking tools.
• Knowledge of Linux or Windows Server and CLI usage.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and follow procedures.
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA A+, Server+, Cisco CCT, BICSI).

Responsabilidades

• Perform advanced installation, maintenance, and repair of servers, storage, and networking hardware.
• Act as subject matter expert for customer installations (rack and stack, cages, cable trays, cabinets).
• Test and troubleshoot copper and fiber circuits.
• Support change management, decommissioning, migrations, and upgrades.
• Migrate equipment, power, and networking devices.
• Handle cross connects and interconnections.
• Maintain security protocols for physical access and data protection.
• Collaborate with remote engineering teams on deployments and incidents.
• Maintain up-to-date cluster designs, inventory, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate HPC hardware inventory.
