Job summary

Covestic Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician II to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support data center infrastructure including servers, storage, networking gear, and cabling. This role acts as an escalation point for Level I techs and ensures high availability and adherence to DC standards.

You will work on hardware replacements, planned maintenance, and complex deployments, collaborating with network, systems, engineering, and facilities teams, with after-hours support when required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT, CS, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years in data center ops or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience with server hardware, storage, networking equipment.
• Knowledge of data center best practices, rack layouts, cable management.
• Experience replacing hardware components and diagnostics.
• Ability to read technical documentation and follow procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, cable, label, and decommission servers, storage arrays, network devices, and related equipment.
• Perform hardware break-fix activities, replacing drives, memory, PSUs, GPUs, or NICs.
• Execute planned maintenance and support infrastructure upgrades.
• Monitor data center health, power, cooling, and rack space usage.
• Support deployments and migrations with minimal operational impact.
