Job summary

Cirrascale Cloud Services seeks a Level 2 Data Center Technician to support deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers, storage, and networking in our data centers. You will act as escalation for Level 1, diagnose complex hardware issues, perform remote hands, and assist with large-scale infrastructure projects in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires Linux experience, TCP/IP networking knowledge, familiarity with RAID/storage, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; strong

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data center, server, IT infrastructure, or related technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, and cable servers, storage systems, network equipment, and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and replace hardware components including drives, power supplies, memory, GPUs, RAID controllers, NICs, fans, and other server components.
• Perform firmware upgrades and hardware diagnostics.
• Execute hardware decommissioning projects and validate data wipe procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Level 1 Data Center Technicians.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues using standard diagnostic tools and commands.
• Verify switch ports, VLAN assignments, transceivers, and physical connectivity.
• Perform cross-connects, patching, and cable management.
• Support network deployment and upgrade projects.
• Assist with Linux server installations, imaging, and basic configuration.
• Troubleshoot operating system boot issues and hardware-related system errors.
• Review logs and perform basic OS-level diagnostics.
• Support customer image deployment and validation activities.
• Serve as on-site resource for remote engineers and customers.
• Perform equipment power cycles, hardware replacements, console access, visual inspections, and troubleshooting activities.
• Execute maintenance activities with approvals and change management.
