Job summary

Mainz Brady Group in Santa Clara, CA is hiring a Data Center Technician II to support enterprise data center deployments and infrastructure operations. This hands-on role installs, cables, validates, and maintains server, storage, networking, and GPU hardware in a fast-paced data center environment.

You will perform rack-and-stack installs, cable management, verify fiber and power connections, and assist with hardware moves, changes, and decommissioning under established runbooks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on data center experience.
• Experience with rack & stack, cabling, and PDUs.
• Ability to read rack elevation diagrams and deployment docs.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in rack environments.
• Attention to detail and adherence to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform rack & stack installations for servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems.
• Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and maintain cable management.
• Connect and verify fiber, copper, and power cabling to data center standards.
• Support hardware moves, adds, changes (MACs), and decommissioning.
• Follow deployment runbooks and engineering documentation.
• Perform hardware validation, physical troubleshooting, and asset tracking.
• Partner with engineering and networking teams during deployments and migrations.
• Adhere to ESD, safety, and security protocols.
