ManpowerGroup is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2 in El Mirage, AZ. The role supports critical infrastructure in a fast-paced data center environment and requires hands-on hardware experience, certifications, and a proactive approach.

The successful candidate will perform startups/shutdowns, conduct quality checks, diagnose issues, decommission hardware, and monitor systems for errors, ensuring reliable IT operations.

Qualifications

• Must have CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications.
• Experience in a data center environment with hardware break-fix.
• Experience in computer repair roles (e.g., Geek Squad).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers and components.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, set up, and startup/shutdown IT equipment per instructions.
• Perform post-execution quality checks for grounding, staging, labeling and cabling.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues and perform break-fix repairs.
• Decommission hardware for system refreshes (memory upgrades, OS rebuilds).
• Monitor systems for failures and respond to errors.

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2, you will be part of the Operations Support team supporting critical infrastructure and data management processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2

Location: El Mirage, AZ

Pay Range: $26-29/Hour

What's the Job?

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment, following specific instructions and safety protocols.

• Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing break-fix repairs on faulty components.

• Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds.

• Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond to program error messages effectively.

What's Needed?

• Computer Science majors OR CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications.

• Experience working in a Critical/Data Center Environment as a Data Center Technician, with hardware break-fix responsibilities.

• Previous experience with computer repair roles such as Geek Squad or similar.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
