Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking an on-site Data Center Engineer to support production infrastructure across its global datacenters. You will manage power, cooling, cabling and hardware, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure high availability.

You will apply practical knowledge of data center infrastructure, perform capacity planning, and troubleshoot issues using Linux CLI and basic scripting, contributing to a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of onsite Data Center experience.
• Understanding of data center infrastructure (electrical/power, cooling, mechanicals, safety).
• Knowledge of cabling standards/media types and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Remotely manage data center infrastructure (power, cooling, hardware, cabling, tools, etc.) to maximize availability.
• Plan for new hardware installs (location, power, cooling, cabling).
• Oversee Datacenter Managed Services providers and onsite technicians.
• Develop and maintain data center standards and documentation.
• Interface with colocation providers and hardware vendors for requests.
• Coordinate data center work with other teams (installation, auditing).
• Perform capacity planning (space, cooling, power, cabling).
• Evaluate industry trends and propose improvements for Data Center hardware space.
• Troubleshoot data center and hardware issues; break-fix.
• Assist with shipping/receiving and maintain inventory.
• Occasional travel to data centers and Jump offices.
• Other duties as assigned.
