Job summary

Jump Trading Group is seeking an experienced Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to remotely manage critical data center environments, including power, cooling, hardware, and cabling. You will coordinate with vendors, oversee MSPs, and implement standards across global facilities.

The role requires onsite experience, strong networking fundamentals, and Linux CLI skills. Occasional travel to Jump offices and data centers is expected as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Two years onsite data center experience.
• Understanding of data center infrastructure (electrical/power, cooling, mechanicals, safety).
• Knowledge of cabling standards and installation best practices.
• Hardware repair experience with data center hardware.
• Ability to understand basic network designs and topologies.
• Experience with Linux command line and basic scripting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, time management and organization.
• Ability to work in a global, fast paced environment.
• Extremely high personal standards for work quality.
• Reliable and predictable availability.

Responsibilities

• Remotely manage data center infrastructure (power, cooling, hardware, cabling, tools) to provide maximum availability.
• Perform requirements gathering and planning for new hardware installs.
• Oversee Data Center Managed Services providers and onsite technicians.
• Develop and maintain data center standards and documentation.
• Interface with colocation providers and hardware vendors.
• Coordinate data center work with other teams.
• Perform capacity planning within the data center.
• Evaluate industry trends and implement improvements.
• Data center and hardware troubleshooting and break-fix.
• Assist with shipping and receiving of equipment.
• Maintain inventory of serialized assets and consumables.
• Occasional travel to data centers and Jump offices.
