Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician in Cheyenne, WY to perform preventative maintenance and repairs within a Data Center operation, under the Critical and Technical Services function. You will inspect systems, monitor BMS alarms, and coordinate with vendors.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience or an apprenticeship, and flexibility to work shifts, including weekends. Strong Microsoft Office skills and a safety-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical apprenticeship or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily site inspections of Mechanical & Engineering systems and equipment.
• Respond to BMS alarms and complete emergency repairs.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure compliance with processes and laws.
• Complete planned preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Take meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
• Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and follow safety procedures.
• Complete required training and follow established procedures under supervision.
