Job summary

Gtatelecom in the United States (Ohio, Athens area) is seeking a Data Center Services Technician to keep critical data center infrastructure ready for service. You’ll install servers, networking and storage equipment, complete rack-and-stack work, run copper and fiber cabling, and perform basic testing and equipment turn-up.

You’ll work from engineering plans, collaborate with technicians and project teams, and ensure installations meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data center operations, structured cabling, telecommunications, field services, or IT infrastructure support.
• Experience installing servers, networking equipment, storage, or related infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of rack-and-stack, rack power distribution, and equipment connections.
• Experience installing and managing copper and fiber cabling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, installation documents, and methods of procedure.
• High school diploma, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• Update installation records, inventory, test results, and as-built documents
• Escalate design concerns, operational issues, or safety risks to the appropriate team
