Job summary

Alliedonesource is seeking a Data Center Support Technician to maintain critical infrastructure, support customer deployments, and manage facility activities in a fast-paced data center environment.

The role emphasizes customer service, troubleshooting, and coordination of rack & stack tasks, with a Monday–Friday day shift and rotating on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; 2 years of data center or related technical field experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of data center cooling and power systems is a plus.
  • 2 years of customer service experience with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Suite; safety-first approach.
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM; rotating on-call every 3-4 weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer support to local and international colocation clients via a web-based ticketing system for access requests, equipment troubleshooting, and order processing.
  • Perform regular facility walkthroughs, inspecting electrical and mechanical equipment, logging readings to ensure proper operation.
  • Support deployments and facility expansions, including executing sales orders, preparing new environments, and assisting with rack & stack tasks.
  • Assist with physical security monitoring, access control, and handling client deliveries, including receiving, storing, and shipping packages.
  • Maintain detailed records of facility activities, including incident logs, inventory management, and maintenance events, with professional interactions.

Duties

Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; 2 years of experience in data centers or a related technical field. Industry certifications or an associate degree in a technical area are preferred.
  • Basic understanding of data center cooling and power systems is a plus.
  • 2 years of experience in customer service, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite, with a commitment to maintaining a safety‑first approach in all tasks and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Shift:Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM; rotating on-call schedule every 3-4 weeks
