Job summary

Alliedonesource is seeking a Data Center Support Technician to ensure uptime of our infrastructure. You will support local and international colocation clients, handle requests via a ticketing system, and perform facility inspections to guarantee proper operation.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or technical associate degree, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite. Shift is Mon-Fri 2:00 PM-10:00 PM with rotating on-call.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in data centers or a related technical field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with clients and team members.
  • Experience in customer service and handling requests via ticketing systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and multitask while maintaining safety-focused practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite; willingness to work with a team or independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support to local and international colocation clients via web-based ticketing system for access requests, troubleshooting, and order processing.
  • Perform facility walkthroughs, monitor critical electrical and mechanical equipment, and log readings for proper operation.
  • Assist with customer deployments and facility expansions, including sales orders and rack & stack tasks.
  • Support with physical security monitoring, access control, and handling client deliveries (receiving, storage, shipping).
  • Maintain detailed records of facility activities, incident logs, inventory, and maintenance events, ensuring professional interactions with customers and contractors.

Duties:
  • Provide exceptional customer support to both local and international colocation clients, handling requests via a web-based ticketing system for services like access requests, equipment troubleshooting, and order processing.
  • Perform regular facility walkthroughs, inspecting critical electrical and mechanical equipment, and logging readings to ensure proper operation and facility conditions.
  • Support customer deployments and facility expansions, including executing sales orders, preparing new customer environments, and assisting with rack & stack tasks.
  • Assist with physical security monitoring, managing access control, and handling client deliveries, including receiving, storing, and shipping packages.
  • Maintain detailed records of all facility activities, including incident logs, inventory management, and maintenance events, while ensuring professional, ethical interactions with customers, contractors, and colleagues.
Requirements :
  • High School Diploma required; 2 years of experience in data centers or a related technical field. Industry certifications or an associate degree in a technical area are preferred.
  • Basic understanding of data center cooling and power systems is a plus.
  • 2 years of experience in customer service, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite, with a commitment to maintaining a safety-first approach in all tasks and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Shift: Monday-Friday 2:00 PM-10:00 PM; rotating on-call schedule every 3-4 weeks

Salary: $58,000-$62,000
