TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Technician in Fairfax, IA to assemble, install and troubleshoot data center networks. You will work long hours, including weekends, with on-site duties in a physically demanding environment.
Responsibilities include setting up racks, installing cabling (fiber/copper), performing splice work, reading drawings, and maintaining safety on a dynamic data center site. Some on-call shifts may apply.

The DATA CENTER TECHNICIAN will build, install and troubleshoot data center networks. Together, the DATA CENTER TECHNICIAN is a good fit for aspiring IT, Network, Technician and Low Voltage professionals, as well as recent graduates ready to work a physical IT position. The DATA CENTER TECHNICIAN will work 6-7 days per week, and at times work 50-80 hours per week. Applicants should be ready to work long days and weeks, even during holiday time.
This is a Contract position based out of Fairfax, IA.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
