Pay: $20-$35/hour (based on experience)

Shift Differential: Additional $3/hour for night shift

Schedule: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) or Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Duration: 6-Month Contract

Location: Brownsville, TX (100% On-Site)

Job Overview

We are hiring Data Center Technicians to support a large-scale data center construction project in Brownsville, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with low voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, electrical, or data center experience who are looking for steady work, overtime opportunities, and the chance to work on a high-profile infrastructure project.

Candidates must be comfortable working either day or night shifts, working overtime as needed, and operating in a fast-paced construction/data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, dress, and secure low voltage copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Perform rack-and-stack activities and support data center infrastructure installations.
• Terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat5e, Cat6, coax, and other communication cabling.
• Assist with cable tray installation, cable routing, and equipment mounting.
• Follow data center standards, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Work effectively with team members across rotating shifts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience with low voltage cabling, structured cabling, telecommunications, electrical, or data center work.
• Ability to use basic hand tools such as punch-down tools, termination tools, drills, and other trade-related equipment.
• Willingness to work either day or night shifts.
• Ability to work regular overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a check.
• Must be comfortable working in a cell phone restricted environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data center experience.
• Rack-and-stack experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Scissor Lift Certification.
• Experience with copper and fiber optic cabling installations.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
