Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Trainer to partner with Data Center teams and develop scalable training for technicians and low‑voltage professionals.

You will design, develop, and deploy programs to safely perform work in live data center environments, with a focus on structured cabling and industry standards. The role sits in the Talent, Learning & Development function and can be located in Westerville, OH or Indianapolis, IN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–8 years hands‑on experience with low‑voltage electrical and structured cabling work.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience in data center or mission‑critical environments strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical learning ambassador by modeling CBRE RISE values.
• Facilitate technical training programs and onboarding for data center technicians, focusing on low‑voltage and structured cabling systems.
• Teach low‑voltage electrical fundamentals (copper and fiber), cabling procedures, and testing/termination techniques.
• Develop learning assets: instructor‑led content, job aids, simulations, assessments, SOPs, and digital modules.
• Translate field processes into technician‑friendly training content and ensure alignment with standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI).
• Create evaluations and measurement tools to assess readiness, track progress, and improve training outcomes.
• Audit programs for consistency, quality, and compliance across regions; implement improved delivery models.
