Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the team responsible for mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and workforce development for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings in Dallas. You will supervise staff, manage daily activities, and guide operations and budgets while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and strong leadership, with expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and data center cooling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in staffing, training, coaching, performance evaluation, and retention.
• Ability to communicate sensitive information and set performance expectations.
• Strong leadership to influence quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching, and oversee recruitment.
• Coordinate and manage daily team activities, set schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and track deadlines.
• Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities; assist in developing operating and capital budgets.
• Implement and improve preventive maintenance programs; maintain safety and procedure manuals.
• Coordinate maintenance with outside contractors and technicians; oversee building systems including fire, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
• Lead communication with tenants, clients, owners, and vendors; facilitate new contracts and maintain as-built drawings.
• Respond to emergencies and customer concerns; model CBRE RISE values.
