Job summary

DSV is seeking a Data Center Team Lead - Dock - D-Shift in New Albany, IN to oversee inbound/outbound freight, inventory, and server rack installation at the datacenter. The role requires strong customer service, safety awareness, and the ability to work with various hand and power tools and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers including the management of shipping documents and records.
• Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, checking for accurate part numbers and quantities.
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts on site at the datacenter.
• Process return shipments of various electronic components utilizing multiple warehouse management systems.
• Oversee server rack placement on the datacenter floor using laser measuring devices with high accuracy.
• Install rack hardware and cabling into server racks following diagrams and schematics.
• Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers and electric pallet jacks.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and ensure compliance with 5S standards.
• Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail in daily tasks.
• Be flexible and cross-train in multiple departments within the datacenter.
• Provide effective delegation and coaching to team members.
