Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Data Center Team Lead for the New Albany datacenter to oversee freight handling, inventory, and server rack installation. You will manage inbound/outbound shipments, perform quality checks, and execute daily cycle counts with a focus on accuracy and safety.

The role requires 3-5 years of related experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with computers is required.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freight to/from vehicles and containers, including shipping documents.
• Perform quality checks on inbound/outbound freight for accurate part numbers, quantities and condition.
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts on site at the datacenter.
• Process return shipments of electronic components using multiple warehouse management systems.
• Oversee and perform the placement of server racks on the datacenter floor using laser measuring devices with 100% accuracy.
• Oversee and perform the population of electronic components and install cabling into server racks per diagrams and schematics.
• Install rack hardware using various hand, power and measuring tools.
• Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers and electric pallet jacks.
• Perform and oversee cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to 5s standards.
• Push, pull and lift frequently throughout the workday.
