WSP USA is seeking a Substation Engineer to support the Data Center Initiation Team in San Diego, CA, with other locations considered. This role involves early-stage planning and design for data center infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of substation design experience, contributing to multidivisional projects and ensuring quality outcomes.

WSP offers a dynamic work environment and a competitive salary range between $78,600 and $135,000.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of substation design experience.
• Understanding of utility substation systems and equipment.
• Familiarity with substation design processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Support multidisciplinary coordination for site evaluation, planning, and infrastructure integration.
• Assist in execution of substation projects across planning, design, procurement, and construction phases.
• Prepare design deliverables such as general arrangements, sections, BOMs, and cable/conduit plans.
