Job summary

POWERX is seeking a Commissioning Engineer II to lead electrical and mechanical commissioning activities for data center projects. The role requires hands-on experience, project coordination, and strong problem-solving skills, with travel across sites as needed.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and 5+ years in commissioning, plus familiarity with NEC/ASHRAE and OSHA practices. You will coordinate with project teams, review designs, and ensure high-quality, on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on commissioning experience in data centers, including one year as lead commissioning engineer.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification.
• Knowledge of NEC, ASHRAE, and OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning of electrical/mechanical equipment and systems.
• Manage projects from planning to completion with schedule/budget adherence.
• Review drawings and submittals for compliance and provide technical feedback.
• Prepare field reports and daily testing results.
• Ensure safety compliance and quality throughout commissioning activities.
