Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned technical sales professional in Arizona to lead complex cabling and data center projects. You will drive pre- and post-sales support, architect designs per TIA942, and guide customers through the full sales lifecycle.

Responsibilities include designing architectural solutions, leading customer discussions, and coordinating with Product Marketing and Sales to stay ahead of market trends. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
• Exceptional knowledge of data center optical cabling, structured cabling, and data center transmission topologies.
• Experience in structured cable infrastructure design required.
• RCDD or DCDC certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for design according to TIA942 standards.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering applications is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with attention to deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Process-oriented thinking and teamwork; strong communication skills.
• Adaptability to a high-pressure, changing environment.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to job and company values.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-value customer relationships throughout the sales process.
• Deliver expert pre- and post-sales technical support, including design assistance, technical query resolution, tailored solutions, quotes, and proposals.
• Consult with prospects and customers as a technical lead.
• Collaborate with the sales team to position CABLExpress products as the preferred choice.
• Lead customer-facing meetings and presentations.
• Develop customer relationships and ensure follow-up throughout the sales lifecycle.
• Champion customer satisfaction and support installation and issue resolution.
• Lead customer requirement discussions as the technical SME.
• Develop architectural designs and specifications according to the TIA942 standard.
• Monitor market and competitor activity; provide reports to Product Management, PM, and Sales leadership.
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, standards body meetings, customer training, and webinars as SME.
• Travel as required.
