Job summary

WESCO Global Solutions is seeking a Data Center Solutions Architect to serve as a technical liaison and trusted advisor focused on data center infrastructure design and solutions across the CSS, EES, and UBS sales organizations.

You will design physical layer infrastructure, produce BOMs and designs, collaborate with sales and vendor teams, and deliver presentations and trainings at customer sites and industry events.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or commensurate technical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 5–10 years in a technical role supporting design, implementation or commissioning.
• Experience with Visio; familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit or similar.
• Knowledge of physical layer infrastructure design.
• Understanding data center environments and components.
• Industry certifications like BICSI RCDD/DCDC preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Establish credibility with end-user customers as a technical liaison.
• Deliver BOMs and design specifications using Visio, AutoCAD or Revit.
• Provide technical guidance to sales teams to advance engagement.
• Collaborate with Global Technical Resource to scale execution.
• Participate in ongoing training to strengthen data center knowledge.
• Liaise with vendor partners to position technologies.
• Deliver technical presentations and training at meetings and events.
• Support lab visits and innovation activities with subject matter expertise.
