Job summary

SLB is seeking a Site Services Engineer based in Houston, TX or Shreveport, LA, with rotations to client sites across the US. This role shapes on-site support for data center construction, coordinating across clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure factory readiness and timely issue resolution.

You will lead or support deployments, manage triage for quality issues, and oversee safety and quality standards throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or civil engineering.
• Industry Experience: hyperscaler contractor, data center construction, electrical-subcontracting, mechanical-subcontracting, field engineering, manufacturing engineering, production management, quality engineering.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site SLB representative, coordinating with Client, General Contractor, Sub-Contractors, Manufacturing Facility, and Operations teams.
• Deploy to project sites for 2–4 week assignments, leading or supporting on rotating shifts.
• Manage on-site delivery and logistics documentation, tracking and coordinating missing or replacement parts.
• Lead quality triage process by verifying priorities, SLB responsibility, and driving resolution.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting; supervise contractor-led remedial actions.
• Maintain daily reporting and participate in scheduled communications and meetings.
• Support root cause investigations with SLB Quality and suggest continuous improvements.
• Ensure client satisfaction and timely factory readiness through proactive issue resolution.
• Adhere to HSE, wear PPE, and maintain safety training.
