Job summary

Salute operates a data center site with a strong emphasis on reliability and safety. The Data Center Site Manager will lead a team, oversee critical equipment maintenance, and ensure 99.999% uptime across complex electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.

Responsibilities include budgeting, vendor coordination, service delivery across Montreal, and enforcing quality standards through all shifts. Strong engineering and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years operating, maintaining data center critical equipment and building systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems.
• Background check is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Empower a culture of safety, security, compliance, and transparency in all datacenter activities.
• Lead and develop a high-performing data center site team and manage talent development.
• Oversee site budgets, payments, and payroll for staff.
• Manage datacenter site services, resources, and deployment for the client in Montreal.
• Coordinate with internal groups to meet service levels and delivery.
• Analyze operations and drive corrective actions to maintain operational stability.
• Establish and drive quality standards for Datacenter teams to completion.
• Respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems and coordinate preventive maintenance
• Oversee preventive maintenance tasks across engineering, mechanical, and maintenance trades.
• Inspect building systems (HVAC, electrical) and ensure safe, clean conditions.
• Respond to indoor emergencies and air quality concerns.
• Create, close, and track work requests; monitor contractor performance and adjust as needed.
