Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Site Engineer I (Nights) to join the Operations team at one of our data center properties. This role focuses on mission-critical infrastructure, including generators, UPS systems, HVAC, fire/life safety, BMS, and CMMS governance.

You will contribute to daily site operations and escalate incidents to ensure high availability. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience in data center facilities, strong electrical or mechanical skills, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in mission critical facilities operating/engineering or equivalent equipment experience (UPS, HVAC, generators, fire/life safety systems).
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in the area of non-expertise (electrical with mechanical competence, or vice-versa).
• Proficiency with CMMS, DCIM, and BMS systems; ability to create/change reports and track maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to interact with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify site operating procedures (SOPs) and change management tickets.
• Conduct timely incident reporting and site inspections to support 24x7 uptime.
• Maintain and repair mission-critical equipment across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot site electrical and mechanical failures and coordinate with teams as needed.
• Support safety and compliance initiatives and maintain documentation.
