Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking a Site Selection Manager to identify and secure strategic real estate for a rapidly expanding data center portfolio across the US. You will own site selection, assess power availability and permitting, and coordinate due diligence with technical advisors.

The ideal candidate has experience in data center real estate or large-scale infrastructure development, has closed complex transactions, and can drive multi-market site development with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in data center real estate, site acquisition or large-scale infrastructure development.
• Closed complex real estate or development transactions.
• Experience evaluating land for major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of power and its impact on site viability.
• Experience navigating permitting and development processes.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and external advisors.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to site development.
• Experience with hyperscale data centers or multi-market site portfolios is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess potential data center sites across US markets.
• Evaluate power availability, site constraints, permitting and environmental considerations.
• Manage due diligence and coordinate specialist advisors.
• Negotiate land acquisitions, leases and development agreements.
• Develop relationships with landowners, brokers and developers.
• Work with engineering and design teams to ensure sites meet requirements.
• Support portfolio strategy, market analysis and capacity planning.
• Partner with finance on project economics and investment decisions.
• Travel to sites and meet with stakeholders.
