Job summary

Google Wichita Falls is seeking a Data Center Technician, Server Operations to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain server hardware and related components in a high‑scale data center environment. You will work closely with network and systems teams to ensure reliable operation of critical infrastructure.

The role requires physical readiness to lift 50 pounds, ability to work non‑standard hours, and on‑site presence.

Qualifications

Experience with performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment.
Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) of equipment and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Must work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and shift-based schedules.
Must be available to travel to support business priorities as needed.

Responsibilities

Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot straightforward issues with equipment or infrastructure as they arise.
Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards.
Disassemble equipment at end-of-life via part replacement in a team setting.
Repair and perform preventative maintenance on equipment based on identified issues.
