Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician to install, configure, test and maintain hardware and related server software in a data center environment. Join a team that handles components, networks, and switches to ensure cutting-edge infrastructure for Google services.

This role requires performing physical tasks, working 100% onsite, and flexibility for non-standard hours. Travel may be required to support priorities and departments across data centers.

Qualifications

• Experience performing component-level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) and perform physical tasks over extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment or infrastructure and follow data center procedures.
• Maintain data security and integrity per Google standards.
• Disassemble equipment at end-of-life in a team setting.
• Repair and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and servers.
