Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Data Center Server Operations Manager to lead a dedicated team of Data Center Technicians responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and deploying the infrastructure powering Google's search technology and global product portfolio.

You will oversee server hardware installation and configuration, including Google’s customized Linux cluster, while ensuring high availability and secure operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience managing technical teams and service delivery in data centers.
• Experience with data center infrastructure, networking, and Linux/Unix administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage round-the-clock operations across all shifts (days, nights, weekends) within the metro area.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, talent development, and vendor management for technical teams.
• Lead the deployment, maintenance, and support of systems and network architectures.
• Leverage Linux/Unix, network protocol, and hardware life-cycle expertise to resolve complex strategic challenges.
• Execute global strategic projects aligned with company goals while driving strict Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.
