Google LLC is seeking an Hardware Operations Manager to lead a team of Data Center Technicians and Leaders, ensuring high-quality installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of hardware and related server software.

The role emphasizes ownership of deployment outcomes, complex installations, risk management, and development of contingency plans, with a focus on safety, reliability, and global collaboration across AI infrastructure and hyperscale environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 10 years managing site-wide or inter-site technical teams for hardware servers and components.
• 5 years leading data center operations at site level.
• 5 years developing and managing managers.
• Experience with process optimization, risk modeling, and performance management (KPIs/SLOs).
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and shift work.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day management of the site-level server operations team, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
• Implement and drive a robust safety culture at the site, promoting EHS initiatives.
• Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of managers and technicians; lead succession planning.
• Be accountable for localized metrics, including KPIs, SLAs, and SLOs, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
