Job summary

Google is seeking a Hardware Operations Manager to lead Data Center Technicians responsible for server hardware, Linux clusters, and networking components, ensuring reliable installations and high-availability across sites.

You will drive security, maintenance, and efficiency initiatives, analyze trends with data analytics, and partner with Program Managers to align site planning and budgets while delivering on-time, on-budget projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
• 5 years of experience managing technical, vendor, contract management, or delivery teams.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of individuals; set and communicate priorities and provide coaching.
• Partner with teams to manage facility activities and short/long-term strategies.
• Maintain security and operational procedures and analyze trends for improvements.
• Repair, fix, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment and infrastructure.
• Support and contribute to EHS and compliance programs with other teams.
