Google LLC is staffing a Hardware Operations Manager to lead a Data Center Technician team responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining server hardware and related components. The role includes configuring networks and servers, coordinating small projects, and developing contingency plans for complex installations.

The team drives efficiency, reliability, and scale for Google’s AI and infrastructure worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in computing infrastructure, networking, operating systems, or hardware.
• 2 years of experience managing technical teams, vendor or contract management and delivery.
• Must have the ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules.

Responsabilités

• Lead a team of individuals; set and communicate priorities for organizational goals and provide coaching.
• Partner with teams to manage facility activities and set short- and long-term CSCS strategies.
• Maintain and monitor security and operational procedures and analyze trends for improvements.
• Repair, fix, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, and infrastructure.
• Support EHS and compliance programs and investigate, resolve, and report incidents.
