Data Center Segment US Country Lead and Key Account Manager

This position reports to

Segment Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will develop, implement, and manage the global solutions strategy within the USA, ensuring business growth, increased sales, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with the Electrification local marketing and sales teams and global organizations across all ABB Businesses and EL Business Lines. Your team and direct management of key and strategic accounts in the US will drive global growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction by coordinating sales activities and resolving specific customer issues. The work model is remote (#Li-Remote) with an estimated 60% travel. This role contributes to the Electrification business and is mainly accountable for:

  1. Developing sales strategies for accounts, setting and pursuing sales targets and growth margins for Data Center accounts in the US.
  2. Ensuring ABB's value proposition for Data Centers is well communicated internally and externally within the territory.
  3. Supporting local marketing and sales to enhance ABB's perception in the US data center market.
  4. Reinforcing ABB's visibility through external market communication, customer events, and trade fairs.
  5. Coordinating internal and external resources to provide value-added services to accounts.
  6. Selling products, solutions, and services focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for the Business Area.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, or related discipline, with 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Data Center solutions within the territory.
  • Proven ability to develop C-level relationships and translate customer needs into solutions, with strong analytical and commercial skills.
  • Self-driven, resilient, energetic, enthusiastic, and inclusive; capable of managing ambiguity and challenging ideas.
  • Experience in AI and established relationships with key industry players; product experience with UPS, Switchgear, Switchboards, etc.
  • Legal work authorization for the US is required.
