Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead security construction projects from planning through closeout. You will act as a subject matter expert in project management, security system setup, scope definition, risk identification, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring schedule, cost, safety, and quality targets are met across the lifecycle.

The role emphasizes strong customer communication, data-driven decision making, and strict adherence to PMI-based practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience of at least five years.
• Willingness to travel.
• 10+ years of project management experience on large, complex construction projects.
• Data center or data center PM experience is preferred.
• Maintains CSPM and OSHA 30 certifications; PMP desired.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling tool.

Responsibilities

• Lead moderately complex security projects with medium to high priority and ensure delivery against scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Manage project planning, risk identification, forecasting, change management, procurement, field execution, and closeout activities.
• Provide clear project updates and progress reviews to management and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate communication and status reporting with project staff, customers, and internal partners.
• Develop and maintain work plans, define scope of authority, and provide technical guidance across project areas.
• Track expenditures and installation progress, adjusting plans to keep the project on track.
• Maintain financial accountability, forecasting trends and managing cost structures.
• Apply PMI-based discipline to integration, scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, risk, and procurement.
