Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a full-time Unarmed Security Officer to protect data center clients and operations. You will monitor premises, deter incidents, provide excellent customer service, and support security procedures in a dynamic environment.

The role requires a valid driver's license for patrol routes, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Shift schedule is Tue-Sat 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a pay rate of $21.79 per hour.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols to deter incidents and maintain safety.
• Maintain clear, accurate activity and incident documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a data center environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center facilities, exterior areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, equipment alarms, and facility concerns to appropriate personnel while maintaining accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Support controlled access processes by verifying credentials, following visitor-management procedures, and communicating professionally with employees, contractors, and visitors.
