Job summary

M.C. Dean, a leading engineering and technology solutions provider, is seeking a Data Center Security Installation Superintendent for a Charleston, South Carolina project.

The role focuses on overseeing large‑scale electronic security installations, coordinating teams, and ensuring safety and quality on site. You will manage schedules, material planning, and documentation, partner with engineers on prefab plans, and lead field operations with customer representatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electronic security installation and projects.
• 7+ years in installation, integration, and testing of security projects >$500k.
• Experience in the Security Industry.
• 2+ years managing security projects as PM/Superintendent/Foreman.
• Experience installing conduit and wiring.
• Experience with access control and video management systems.
• Knowledge of basic network infrastructure.
• Experience with scheduling, job cost reports, estimating, safety, documentation, and QC.
• Experience with CPM scheduling; ability to manage budgets and hours.

Responsibilities

• Ensure large data center electronic security projects are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, site safety, permits, and communication with stakeholders.
• Develop 12+ week look‑ahead schedules and safety plans.
• Review design documentation for constructability and adherence to plans.
• Manage material and labor planning with 4‑week look‑ahead forecasts.
• Oversee logistics and track time and materials for the project.
• Ensure permits and inspections are obtained prior to work.
• Lead weekly resource allocation and maintain an accurate org chart.
• Document RFIs, daily reports, and QC records as required.
• Collaborate with engineers on prefab plans and pre‑fabrication scheduling.
• Lead PITCO testing and drive quality improvements.
• Coordinate with GC and owner and act as field operations contact.
